you guys are totally gonna laugh at me, but i'm having serious buyer's remorse here. no, it's not over a new car or even living room furniture, it's over shampoo. i bought 5.99$ shampoo today!! and conditioner! 12 dollars on shampoo and conditioner?!? EEEKKK! i've never bought anything more expensive than Pantene which is a huge splurge at 3.99 for the 2-in-one. i usually stick with the 99 cent suave or VO5, i've NEVER spent 12$ dollars on hair products, lol.

i have a reason though!! since the flooding here they've waaay over-chlorinated the water and it's doing horrible things to my naturally brownish-red hair. it's turned it into this dried out mop of red straw, and i hate it! it's too fried to dye and i don't have the cash to get it fixed at a salon, hence the splurge.

i still wouldn't have done it except dh made me, lol. we were in walmart today and i had 50$ of spending money that of course got completely eaten up by pullups, shavers, deoderant, and the stinking spiderman costume for tristan. i looked at the shampoo but didn't get it as i didn't think i had enough money. so as we go to ring up dh looks in the cart and says "i gave you 50$ to spend on YOURSELF, why is everything in here for me or the kids? go get something for you!" so i ran back and got it =D

i know i probably sound really cheap, but i'm scottish, what can i say? there's some stuff i just don't spend money on, and my hair happens to be one of them! if there's a generic to be found i buy it, it's just how i was raised and how i am.

it's really good shampoo (john freida brilliant brunette) and my hair feels like hair again for the first time in a while so i think i'm gonna keep it, just need ya'll to laugh at me a little so i'll stop feeling guilty!

does anyone else have trouble spending money on themselves? when i have spending money i always end up spending it on the family instead of me, i always feel guilty for money spent on just me. except for clothes, i can buy clothes any day of the week and never feel guilty, guess i have selective guilt! lol.

I'm glad to hear that the shampoo is so fabulous. I'm going to buy some as soon as I run out of the stuff I have now. I have the BB shine shock glosser & I LOVE IT! I don't care WHAT DH says. Anyone try the conditioner & other styling products???

Hey Clarity, you have sold me with you shampoo "comercial" LOL. I wanna help Nick go pee pee and stop at my glowing hair in the mirror! LOL

I have never heard of this shampoo before but from the response you got it sounds great. Who is it made by? Is it a line or is it just the shampoo?

Thanks, from a wannabe BB!

roflol, see now, that's a shampoo commercial that a REAL woman could get into! it's by john freida and they sell it at wally world, and yeah there's a whole line. brilliant blond too, but it's been YEARS since i could claim that as my natural color :P

it's supposedly specifically for brunettes and it has coffee beans and crushed pearls in it, (i have no idea why but that's what it says) and it really does make your hair look awesome. the conditioner has these little metallic flecks in it and i think some of them stay in or something! if it could fix my horse hair mop i think it was money well spent, lol. try it and let us know what you think!

clarity, who's thinking of being the john freida version of the wendy's unofficial spokesman...

Ohh Ohh I have it too, the one that takes all the frizzes away, and makes your hair sleeek and shiney! woohoo for me I have wavy hair which curls at the ends but with flyways, but if I put some on, oohh lala I don't look like I have been in my tub under the sink and doing diapers all day! haha really great if u use the shampoo cond. and that, :)

Whoohoo! I think I found a coupon in my paper for that! Coincidence...I think not, somebody up there is trying to tell me I've got dull brown hair with flyaways! LOL I think I will moosey on over to my second home and see if they got it tomorrow when dh gets home.

Thanks for the info!

Claritysblue, I'm so glad to finally see a posting from you!!! It's been a while!

And yes, I also feel guilty spending on myself (although I love buying clothes, I still feel guilty!), but now I spend primarily on my kids. As for shampoo? well I used to buy supermarket stuff (I really, really can't give money at a salon for shampoo - I consider that a waste of money!).
