Happy weekend, everyone!  What do you have planned?

DH and I have a working weekend.  He'll be doing some plumbing work for friends, I'll be doing some outside work, and then we'll also be doing lots of relaxing.  The kids will be with their grandparents aaaaall weekend, and it's a long weekend for us.  Yay!  I'll also get to see one of my dearest friends, and go to the nicest bookstore I know.  It's going to be a good weekend!

We watched Hulk (w/some BW3 wings) since we're re-watching the Marvel movies to gear us up for Iron Man 3. We shopped for the baby some toys and jumperoo, so I don't have to constantly entertain him. Now that he's 5 months, he can entertain himself a little. Oh and we also got him his first suit for church next week. It's so cute! He has big feet, though. He's already a size 2 (snug), so probably more like a size 3. We went to the flea market yesterday, but just to browse not buy. We topped the day off with one of those frosty waffle cones they were advertising on TV- yum!

I know it's not the weekend anymore, but it's supposed to be around 87 degrees today. DH is going to spend the day cutting grass at serveral properties his dad is a caretaker for and right now all I have planned is to cancel my gym membership and buy peas, so I can make Ricky some baby food. I may call one of my friend's to see if they want to go to the park or something. DH and I usually spend our evenings (after Ricky goes to sleep and before I do) watching a show- tonight, it'll probably be the last two weeks of Game of Thrones.

Sounds like you had a great weekend. How was it being kid free for the weekend?

It was amazing!  I love my kids, but it was SO nice to have a break and just be able to do adult things.  I wasn't able to get to the bookstore but we did go to the flea market and I picked up a few books there, so all is good.  :)  DH bought me ice cream, too.  I had Wet Paint, which is bubblegum, cherry, and vanilla, and DH had All-Canadian Moose, which is peanut butter and chocolate.  Yum, yum.

I'm glad you had a great weekend! I'm sure it was nice to get a little break and I'm sure your kids enjoyed time with the grandparents as well. I have bought so many books from the flea market- especially Chicken Soup for the Soul. The ice-cream sounds delicious!

I only have one, so I find it fairly easy to get out of the house, do things around the house, etc. other than just being tired, but my son is only 5 months! DH and I are able to make time for each other in the evening for a couple of hours between when the baby goes the bed and when I go to bed and still find time to be intimate, which is so important to a relationship. Yes, I am a mom, but I was a wife first and will be once the kid(s) leave, so it's so important to us to maintain ourselves beyond just parents. We both would be perfectly content with just one child, but it's also important to us for our son to have a sibling event though that won't be for 3 years or so.

Sorry, I didn't mean to go off topic...

It was one of the most relaxing weekend in weeks. After the shifting needed this one badly. Slept and slept and slept. In between went out for lunches and watched a good movie.
