Junk mail ... AARGH!

Does anyone know a good way to stop all the junk mail (snail mail) that accumulates in my mailbox? I'm talking mainly about the credit card offers. I'm so sick of them. And you can't just throw them away ... I always tear off any identifying info and shred it. Is there a list I can get on where they won't mail me this crap anymore? Something similar to the national Do Not Call list would be ideal.

TIA,

Try this link. There is a phone number you can call that will help cut down on that junk. I did this a few weeks ago and it has already slowed down. Plus it is not good for your credit since each time they access your info it will lower your credit score by having too many inquiries. And it seems that more and more compaines are starting to look at credit scores before loaning money for homes and cars.

I also did it for my spouse you will just need to know their info.

We just move alot!! That way the junk mail guys can't keep up with you since they usually don't forward junk mail. This also helps to keep from accumulating too much junk in your house...and by changing your email often the spam guys have a hard time finding you too!
Okay, it's not really a method I recommend but it has worked for us : )
