Just stopping in quickly...

. . . to ask for prayers and/or positive thoughts, vibes, or whatever you each do :)

Jenna is better today, her cough is not so barky, and her fever's down to almost normal. She was also up and playing much of the day today. THANK GOODNESS!! What a relief! My poor little angel was soooo sick yesterday! I am just so relieved to see her perking up. Kids bounce back quick! :)

My husband, on the other hand, is very VERY sick! He got increasingly sick throughout the night last night. He has had a high fever, cough and his lungs hurt. I have not seen him this sick in YEARS!! He was so sick, his teeth were chattering with fever, and whenever he would cough, he would hold his chest, and those 2 things freaked me out, so I called his best friend who works with him (another physician), and told him what was going on. He said it sounded like Acute Bacterial Pneumonia (?? I don't have much of a clue of the different kinds), and that they've treated a bunch of cases in the ER, and he's been coughed on, etc. many times, and that's where he got it. He agreed to come over and examine him, and thank goodness, Michael didn't have the energy to argue much with me. He brought all kinds of equipment with him, none of which I know much about. The two of them argued as to whether it's bacterial or viral (Michael said viral), or pneumonia or bronchitis (Michael said bronchitis)!! They say doctors make the worst patients, and they are ABSOLUTELY RIGHT!! OMG I could have killed him today!

Anyway, our friend wanted him to come in for a chest X ray, and he refused (!!) but he is taking the antibiotics he prescribed at least. However, if it is viral, apparently they won't work!

He is very, very sick. I mean--can barely-stand-up-sick, and it came on very suddenly with no warning. I have never seen anything like that! There must be some mean bugs in that ER!! I was there when our friend checked him out, and Michael was also saying how this shouldn't happen unless his immune system is compromised if it *is* pneumonia, which freaked me out because that would mean something else was wrong with him, but our friend said that isn't true all the time, and he's exposed to enough bad stuff at work with patients coughing in his face all the time, that just being tired and run down in that setting could cause pneumonia, and he is always tired and run down.

Thank God for Jack (our physician friend). I am so thankful he made the house call, because I could not get Michael to go in. I ended up making Jack dinner, and he made me feel better that Michael is basically strong and healthy, and will fight this off without hospitalization. But he *did* threaten to admit him if his oxygen saturation dropped, and all kinds of other stuff I didn't understand (and of course Michael argued with him), so it has been a bit of a stressful day. I don't mean to whine or bring anyone down, but I would appreciate some P & PT. It has not been a good few days here!

I can't catch up on all the posts right now, and I know there are so many of you with so much going on that I want to respond to. I will try tomorrow, I promise. I'm pretty worn out right now.

Hugs to all of you! Thanks for listening to my endless complaints. Sorry for whining!!
