i'm thinking about trading in the VW beetle (my dream car) for the new Kia Sedona. I really like the safety features and how sporty it looks but i'm not sure if i'm ready for a minivan. What do you think? would it be a good investment? How are Kia's when it comes to maitenence?
I say go for it. If you feel it is safe enough for the kids and you like it, then get it and enjoy the new ride :)
I don't know about the KIA SEDONA, but we have a minivan. We have a HONDA EX-L and we like it. With 4 kids, I couldn't drive anything much smaller, and am not the SUV type.

We own an 02 Kia Sedona, which is not as posh as the new model. I can tell you that we love it though. We bought it early this year, and it fits all the kid gear, kids, dogs, etc. without being a gas hog, or being unsafe.
Just my 2 cents.
BTW - I am not yet a SAHM, so just thought I'd be fair and mention that as well...
So if you are a SAHM, why arent you here!
Hi,
I'm Maribeth, SAHM of 2 and sister to Nora27. She's been hyping this board since she joined recently, and I've only been lurking. I had to come out of hiding to respond to this thread, though.
We've had a Sedona for about 2.5 years (I think an 02), and we love it. I do wish we could justify getting an 06, though. Something to look forward to next time. We've had no trouble with maintenance, I really like the way everything is set up on the dashboard.
I heard on the news last night that the 06 Sedona just won the Insurance Institute's best rating for crash safety! Thought you all might be interested in that nugget. :)
I'll have to wipe my feet on the welcome mat later on, after the sweeties are in bed...
