left handed?

hey y'all... I have a question... and this may seem kind of odd, but I really don't know.
Hannah is left handed, and everyone else in my family and Kyle's family is right handed, so I'm having to really focus to remember when I give her things at the table. I felt like such a bad mom this morning because the girls were painting and I realized I had put the paint on her right side... she kept reaching over trying to get the paint on her brush.
As far as setting the table, do I need to put her cup and silverware on the left side of her plate? I know how to set a table *properly* like for the holidays etc., but omg it's confusing for me. How do you lefties like your table setting?

This has been an issue my whole life.
First off...CONGRATULATIONS!!!
I'm a lefty too!
Leftys usually adapt to the righty world pretty well.
Katelyn - my 4 year old is left handed. Almost everyone on both sides of the family are right handed. Only lefty is DH's 3rd cousin (and my SIL, but she is married to my brother).
I usually forget too for things like painting and such that I should put them on Katelyn's left side. She can do most everything right handed too though. She can cut with scissors just as well or better with her right hand and she can use the mouse at the computer right handed. I wouldn't do anything different. If she needs to, she will correct it herself. Left handed people actually have an advantage over righties. We live in a right handed world and so righties use mostly the right, whereas lefties are forced more often to use both, so the usually end up very good with both hands.
