October 4, 2006, I saw my first official CHRISTMAS commercial!! I am just angry - why must they constantly promote this holiday earlier and earlier every year. It was for Christmas Trees, and getting them on-line. Really! Just ridiculous!!

Ok - I feel better, lol. Thanks for letting me vent!!

Wendy, were these real trees or artificial? (I'm being serious.) That's one of the weirdest things to get online. It's like a mail-order babysitter, or automated pet ordering.

lol :) In your case, it'd be "The Only Noel..." ;) Ya know, the first time I read your screen name, I had to do a double-take because I thought it read "noseywifey" lol Now that I know you I know that's not true. :) I get it now. lol

For Japanese Beetles, sprinkle self rising flour around and when they drink water, they will explode.

Nasa, thanks! I'll have to buy self-rising flour (I only have regular). Thankfully I had my "Jude's Herbal Home Remedies" out to see what mullein looks like. Now I'm armed! lol :) The beetles like my windows and high places (like my cathedral ceiling. arg!) How do I deal with them? Other than around the doors, where else could I put the flour? Thanks again! Currently, I vacuum them up, but it's hard to keep on top of it. The house I'm in was poorly constructed, so there's gaps between the doors and door jams and it lets them in.

I am thinking if you treat the gaps, hopefully they will go somewhere else to die and will kill off their population.

lol :) Better genocide than Nate eating them! I've had to take a couple out of his mouth already. Kids! :) Thanks for the tip, though! They're a major problem around here. (Stupid DNR!)

I totally feel you, Wendy. My dh is a Cristmas nut. He loves it like a little kid to the point it sometimes nauseates me, lol. Last night we went to Target to look for Halloween costumes for the kids, and low and behold, on the other side of the Halloween stuff was Christmas decorations. His mouth drops open, his eyes get wide and he has to go over and bask in the Christmasness. Uuuuhhgg!! Of course the kids follow him. "FOCUS, PEOPLE!!" I yelled. I mean, SERIOUSLY!!! Why were we there, after all?! He's such a goof.
