Hello Everyone-

In my new found role as stay at home mommy... I find we are on more of a budget than I am used to... I am looking for new meal ideas that are fairly inexpensive to make... And ideas on how you save at the grocery store... Coupons.. are they really worth it if you can buy the store brand? I appreciate everyones help, and hope everyone has a great week.

Joni...

I always take a calculator with me to the grocery store. This helps me to figure if the coupon saves me money or not. I also get good coupons from the websites of the grocery store's

Thanks about the idea of ads!
Publix has buy one get one free sometimes and Walmart never does.

I clip coupons religiously!!! With many things, I'm happy to buy the store brand, but with others I'm picky and want a certain kind. Coupons help me save money on the name-brand things. Also, try to find a local store that will double the coupons' value -- that's when it REALLY starts to pay off. I wasn't as avid a coupon-clipper until I found that Bi-Lo will double them. It really makes a difference in my grocery bill. My other tip is to stick with your grocery list and avoid impulse buys. They really do add up.

Good luck from one new SAHM mom to another!
