Lost my mother last night...

Just wanted to post and ask for prayers and positive thoughts. My mother died Sunday. She had had the flu for a week, I talked to her Saturday and she said this was "just the worst I have ever felt ever." I asked if she needed anything and she said no, not to come by, she didn't want me to catch anything. I told her I'd call her back Sunday afternoon/evening to see how she was doing. I called twice, then went over there after not getting her. I found her and called 911, but she had been gone for a while. She was 59. She had a drinking problem, but we don't know yet if that was a factor in her death. I requested an autopsy (sp ?) and should have general results by the end of the week, more detailed ones in 2-4 weeks.
Brittany is taking it hard, she was really close to her grandma. Destiny is sad, but still a bit young to completely absorb it. Colton probably won't remember his grandma.
I am now parent-less, as my father died in 1980. I am overwhelemed, being the executress and the only daughter in town (my sister lives in St. Louis, about 3 hrs away) I don't know what I'm doing, hopefully the attorney can help me figure this all out. I did the funeral home things this morning, went to the florist this afternoon and tomorrow I talk to her attorney. I am lost. I am just plain lost...
Thanks in advance for all your thoughts and prayers...
Liz

OMG, Liz, I am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my dad several years ago to suicide, and he also had an addiction to alcohol. It is so hard to lose a parent. I'm sorry that you have all this responsibility, on top of grieving. This is a time to lean on that wonderful dh of yours! I'll say a prayer for you, and lots of (((hugs))).
