None of my kids have tubes, but I had them when I was younger. (Sorry, dont remember much about them!)
I know how you feel about the neb treatments, not much fun. Alyssa has asthma so she gets treatments regularly and also has an inhaler. When Judd was sick a few weeks back he had to get treatments for a few days and it was horrible!!!
Hey Chrissy....poor Mason........I sure hope that he feels much better soon....
Both of my younger children have done the neb treatments......I am so glad we have moved to using inhalers....trying to keep them still for the treatments......was quite the adventure...LOL
Michael has tubes in his ears Chrissy...he was having ear infections pretty much every month....they put the tubes in, Jan 07.....and so far the most difficult thing with Mikey....is holding him down to put the wax plugs in his ears so that I can wash his hair???? LOL
oooh, Chrissy! ((((Hugs)))) to you all. It seems like it's been a very challenging time for you lately. I'm sending lots of p&pts your way! I hope things improve soon. I don't know anything about tubes in the ears other than my cousin had them and it helped her tremendously, with virtually no side effects. G/L! :)
Tubes are the best thing ever! Mahri had 5 bad ear infections (while she was in daycare....) even though she was BF'ing on demand, before age 10 months. She had her tubes put it a week before she was 11 months, and never has had a cold or ear issue since. They took her adenoids as well because they were enlarged.
Like Rho said, the hardest part was handing her over and the 20 minute wait.
If that's what the ENT suggests, I'd definately encourage you to go that route hon. You can email me or post here if you have any questions, reservations, etc.
