Wanted to share a pic of matt on his first movie set! He is the one with the bright yellow shirt on with his hands on his knees. He had a great time yesterday, and it was a really fun experience for him.

Also wanted to share that my Dh left at 6:00 this morning to get his nephews and neices. We found out that their mom just got back into town so we are not sure what is going to happen. Please pray for my dh's saftey and that whatever happens is for the best for these children.

He looks like he is really enjoying himself, what movie is he going to be in(are you allowed to say)? Your DH and your DN/DN are in my thoughts and prayers! Please update us on what happens when you get the chance.

Thanks Shelby!

The movie is called "Calm" an indipendent film. Matthew is only 7, I wish I had found something I was so passionate about at his age.

Thanks for the prayers for Dh, he is not back yet. He has not called today, but I know he is probably sleeping still. Thanks again.

Thanks Sam!

Matt has always wanted to be an actor and since he was four he has done musical Theatre. I swear me and Dh knew he was very different when he was two. We bought him the movie "mighty joe young" and I know that a lot of kids watch movies over and over again, but Matt could imitate the character Joe's facial expressions and body movements to a tee. He was also very into music and could imitate exactly the dance moves that he would see on back street boys videos. We have a video that we got of him when he was two, we hid a camera in his room. He had turned over his playpen

Thanks Heather,

The movie is an idipendent film called "Calm" it is a cute coming of age story. Matthew did a great job, they were really impressed with him, and said they have never seen a 7 year old who was so serious about acting...lol.

Thanks for the prayers Mel! Dh called last night and did not sound very optomistic, so I am anxious to hear from him today. Hopefully he will come back tonight!

>> It is a little scary though having a child so young who already knows what he wants to do.

i can completely relate to that, lol. my dd sounds alot like your ds, with the focus on song and dance instead of film, and to be totally honest it worries me. i'm having trouble finding the right balance between holding her back and just protecting her. last year she heard a commercial on the radio for an open casting/talent/beauty call and begged and begged for me to take her. i didn't really want to, but i figured it would probably end in nothing and maybe cure her of the stage-fever. boy was i wrong!! she's been involved in local commercials and music theater productions ever since, and i can't seem to stop the runaway train. dad feels like she's known what she wants to do ever since she was a baby (we have the same kind of home movies as you do, alleria belting out britney spears at 2, rocking to Pink at 3, doing every single dance move she ever saw, etc etc.) and who are we to hold her back, but i'm so worried about her missing out on just being a kid. she keeps pushing for more and i keep saying "when you're older," but that's only going to work for so long....

anyway, congrats on the movie, sounds like a lot of fun :)
