Wanted to share a pic of matt on his first movie set! He is the one with the bright yellow shirt on with his hands on his knees. He had a great time yesterday, and it was a really fun experience for him.

Also wanted to share that my Dh left at 6:00 this morning to get his nephews and neices. We found out that their mom just got back into town so we are not sure what is going to happen. Please pray for my dh's saftey and that whatever happens is for the best for these children.

good to see you again too, i've been kinda running ragged for the last few weeks and my puter time's been a little scarce, lol. alleria's nowhere near as precocious as matt, thank god, i can't imagine a talking 4 mo old!! but i can very clearly remember her dancing and swaying to music as soon as she could sit up, and she's absolutely LOVED soultrain and mtv since she was in diapers. both her bio dad and her heart-daddy (as she calls him) are very musical and it seems to have been passed down strong. when alleria was about 2 1/2 she and daddy were dancing and she started 'freaking' him (the kind of club dance where the girl bends over in front of a guy and pretty much simulates sex!), we both about peed our pants laughing and then decided that maybe she was watching a little TOO much mtv, lol.

is nick the same way, or is matt just a fluke? (you know i mean fluke in a good way right? lol) our ds loves music as much as alleria, but he completely lacks the talent. it's so funny to watch him dance as he is a true "white boy" with no concept whatsoever of rhythm or tempo, lol. he's amazing in his own ways, but he has none of the performing gene that alleria seems to have.

somehow alleria's heard tell of agents and has been asking for one and to be on tv 'for real' for a while now, but i'm still refusing. i just can't seem to bring myself to do it, it's just so 'stage mom' to me. i'm really torn about how much i should encourage it, so for the time being i'm pretty much just not DIS-couraging it. my greatest fear (as i'm sure that you can relate to) is not at all that she'll fail or not 'make it,' it's that she WILL make it and be too immature to deal with it.

i do think that some kids are just born to be onstage, and they'll do it whether they're pushed or not. i NEVER had that kind of motivation and determination at that age, shoot, i don't even have it now!!

i just have to ask you if you tell people about matt's talent? i tend to be very quiet about alleria's extra-curricular activities, it seems to come across as bragging or a bad case of stage mommy, and it doesn't go over very well with my friends. they all know things from alleria, but i feel so self conscious about it. how do you deal with that?

Do I brag to people I interact with daily? Heck No! I feel safe doing it here, and wanting to brag about your kids is natural...to me anyway. But with family and friends they really do act as if they are jelous. I don't say "Ha Ha, look at my kid...don't you wish you had one of these?" They seem to think it is "bad" that there kids are not that way. I think all kids are special, but it is
