OMG! I just found this board and I saw your post and I had to write. I am a member of the Sept 2003 playgroup. My DS Benjamin was born on 9/5/03. I am a SAHM. Anyway, my DH is addicted to video games. So addicted that we own just about every sytem ever created since 1985 and almost every game that was made for them. I am so not joking.. the thing is that although he loves playing games, he loves collecting them more. There are lists everywhere with game names and ranks and we have just about every subscription that there are to video game magazines. As for me, I have no interest in them. The only game that I like to play is Super Mario Brothers from the original Nintendo. MY DH justifies this all by saying that he is making a collection for Ben that will be worth money someday... yeah right! Anyway, your post struck a cord with me. I had to share.
too much, right. My stepson is the one with all the systems. But my husband got ps2 last year and just this year since socom came out is he all over it. There are about 20 guys from work that play too. He stays up til like 2 in the morning playing. I sit here at the computer and make fun of him all night.. I guess I can be thankful that he is in the house and not out running around. But give me a break already. All of the girlfriends and wives of the guys from work are a little irritated too. I am also a stay at home mom. 3 boys...
nope, it's starwars galaxies up in this joint. it's so bad that he begs ME to play it for him when he's at work! so just to make him happy i occasionally set it up to play automaticly and he loves me for it, lol. what the obsession that grown men have with video games is i have no idea, but there are alot of video game widows on the boards, so you're in good company.
my dh plays rouge spear or something like that on the computer at night and when he plays hes in another world he cant hear a word i say and all of a sudden he forgets how to walk so he expects me to get him drinks ect.... i just laugh at him hes lkie a big kid but his playing is only like an hour a night so i guess its not too bad
My husband is in another world too when he plays. So I have learned to ignore him when he talks to me to see how he likes it. Thanks for all the responses. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't alone.

My husband and son are the same, do not hear a thing, like in a different world. So sad
