a "messy" morning!

What a morning we had! The story starts last night though. For some reason T has increased his daily poop from 1 to 3 times a day! And yesterday he broke out in his 2nd real rash. His poor butt is bright red and so sore dh couldn't even wipe it in the bath last night. He just rinsed it off. So I said this morning I'd let him air out a while. Since he woke up with just a wet diaper I went ahead and got his breakfast first since I'd have to change his clothes after he ate anyway. He's really not happy about any sort of clothing or diaper changes these days, so I try to minimize them when I can. Anyway, after he ate I took him to change his diaper and clothes. He does this thing where he flips over, buries his face and sticks his butt up in the air. While his butt was up I took the opportunity to slather him in ointment. He took this opportunity to poop! It was all over the changing pad and before I could grab him, he decided to flip back over and rub his legs in it! GROSS! I got him picked up, ripped the cover off the changing pad, wiped him down with wipes and released him so I could deal with the rest of the poop. Well, naked boy ran to the living room where he peer all down the front of the couch and POOPED AGAIN! So now I'm really tagging as I try to shake the poop off the changing cover into the toilet and now the living room smells like poop and he stepped in it and slid! At that point, I threw the kid in the tub and rinsed him off with the shower head. He also went back into a diaper while I scrubbed the carpet... Next time I decide to let his butt air out, its happening outside!

Well his rash is almost gone. I used a combination of A&D Ointment and olive oil. And we've kept the diaper on thankyouverymuch! I think that one poop just scalded him. Poor kid. Now I need to get my carpet cleaned because after I scrubbed up his little accident, we realized that one spot is cleaner than the rest of the carpet! Darnit! Oh well, I think that was my first Friday the 13th experience!

No, I haven't tried olive oil. I've been using A&D but I'll try the olive oil with the next diaper.

A little while ago I realized its Friday the 13th. Haha guess it got me good today!

Oh, he also accomplished the feats of learning to climb on my (tall) bed and the kitchen chairs too. Now nothing will be safe! Yikes! Today has been nothing if not entertaining...

Poor guy! -And poor mommy!

Have you tried olive oil? Olive oil worked really well on Lucy for some rashes. She had super sensitive skin.
