I am a stay at home mom with many stay at home mom friends. I am looking to earn some extra money, and am thinking of having a Mom's Morning Out a few days a week. I think my friends/accquaintences in neighborhood would love to have a few hours to shop, get things done at home, etc. I am wanting some feedback on this idea. Here's what I've got so far: MWF from 9:00-11:30, 18 mo and up, limit 5 children. I taught preschool/kindergarten before my daughters were born, so I would have circle time (songs, story, fingerplays), play outside (fenced in yard) or large basement, craft time, snack, etc. Thinking $8-10, half price for sibling. Please let me know what you think- ideas, comments, thoughts on price, time, whatever. I value other mom's opinions. Thank you very much!

I think its a great idea!! hey, in fact.. its so great... I may just steal it when my daughter starts first grade!! i was thinking how much I would miss having kids in the house!

I love the idea and the price sounds good.... maybe a little more. (you're gonna have to be able to cover materials and a snack.. right?) I think it sounds fantastic... I say give it a go!!!

You could do a monthly fee or a punch card where they buy 5 sessions and get the 6th free.

Where do you live? I'll sign up! :) I think it sounds like a great idea. Even us SAHMs need a few hours to ourselves here and there. And it won't be too taxing on you because it is only a few hours three times a week. It won't be exhausting for you and you'll make some extra money. I think $10 a day is a good price, too. It's only $30 a week for those with one child and you'll be making $150 extra a week if you get five kids. Man, why can't someone do something like that around me?

Don't forget to check the laws in your state regarding whether you'd need a license to do something like that.

It sounds great to me, a good way to be home and earn some extra $...do you need to be licensed though?
