So Ok, now my youngest, Travis, woke up with a sore throat. He couldn't even eat rice krispies this morning. I feel awfull, I made him try going to school. I gave him some tylenol, and told him he will be better and to call me if it doesn't and I'll come and get him. Now that I've read all the posts about strep, I'm worried that he may have that but he didn't have a fever or anything. So I hope he'll be ok, but it is the weekend so who knows. I hope all of your kids are better! Tammy

LOL--pretty bad when we have so many sick kids we have to start a thread to keep up with them, LOL!

Emily is doing about hte same. I made her some Cocoa Wheats for dinner last night, and although she didn't actually throw them up, she kept (sorry TMI) spitting up in her mouth adn gagging.

Me, Mandy and Skyler all had bad stomach aches last night. But nothing ever came of it...(Knock on wood!) I'm hopping that is all we deal with here. Hope everyone else starts to come around soon!! ((Hugs!)

Well, I'm still waiting for the other shoe to drop. The twins are still fine, but I'm convinced they'll be sick any second, lol. Dh makes fun of me as I am more than a little supersticious when it comes to this kind of thing. I think as soon as I accept they aren't getting sick the puke will start flying, so I just keep anticipating it. I plan on worrying about it until after Nikki's party on Sunday.

LOL! Me, too! I worry until I can't worry anymore! Not to mention, there is really nothing you can do about it, so worrying is the best bet, right? Hugs and good luck! I hope nobody else gets sick.

Tammy, you can have step without a fever. I would get him a throat culture. You don't want to mess with strep.

Can I join The Worry Warts?? My latest obsession is this: the virus will incubate for a week, and just as we head out on vacation, whomever hasn't thrown up or had the poops is going to begin immediately. And with a long drive, it will be a blast to deal with in the van, not to mention the fact that we're traveling in tandem with all my ILs!! I think if no one else gets sick by then, I'm going to ask Michael to bring home emesis bags and basins from the hospital just in case. A good thing to have stashed in the van anyway, as Matthew gets car sick on occasion.

But my REAL worry is that Michael or I will get it just as we leave for vacation! That would be such a blast, stopping on the side of the road so we can throw up, and at every rest stop through however many States so we can do the other stuff. Oh, what a *joyous and relaxing* vacation that would be!! The thought of it makes me quiver with glee!

We have 8 days to go. . . 2/4 of my kids have gotten sick. 2/4 of them are still fine. Michael and I are fine so far. Matthew is all better and Jenna still has the poops, but her fever is gone and she's eaten a Pedialyte popsicle and toast smeared with apple sauce and has held it down fine. So let's hope we all throw up over the weekend and get it out of our systems so I don't obsess all week and follow 2 year olds around with puke buckets.

Oh, and I forgot to add: Jenna got me up at 4:30 AM by TAPPING ON MY FACE VERY SOFTLY and whispering "Mommy, I'm poopy." It was such a joy to deal with at that hour!! And she was feverish. I had to put her in the tub to wash her off. She screamed. I called Michael at the hospital just so he could experience the joy I was having vicariously. He talked to her and calmed her down. I did something I *never* do and let her sleep with me, because I was so desperate for more sleep. Michael came home later and went to bed, and then I remembered that Jenna had slept on his pillows and I forgot to change the pillow cases, so I'm sure he's thoroughly exposed now! He's very calm about it and feels fine, and says he probably has immunity, but if he doesn't, he'll live through it. . . I feel kind of guilty for forgetting to change the pillowcases! Not to mention how exposed I got with her sleeping beside me. I just wish we'd hurry up and get this over with. It's been a real living BLAST!!

Hugs to all of you with sickies out there! We're all in this together!
