| Thu, 07-22-2004 - 7:14am |
Ok so I haven't even been to sleep its 6:10(post time is wrong). So I decided to do as Traci asked and roll call everyone.
Good morning mommies! What are your plans for the day?
~~~We are going to my in laws house to drop Haylei off and then DH and I are going out to breakfast. When we get home we are going to finish painting our kitchen.
Have a GREAT day!
P.S. Traci do we ask the same question each time or do we come up with another?
Good morning!!!!
LOL Cheater, Cheater....Shelby! I knew you were gonna try and beat me here! lol
You can ask whatever you want silly, it's our board! Just thought it would be fun to do the roll call thing.
Put in a picture of your kitchen when it's through shelby!
Well Today I am doing the same ole thing...lol. Dh is putting a new battery in our van so unless he fixes it early we are stuck at home.
Dh though is going to get us a pool sometime this week or early next! It will have to be one of those easy set pools since we are leasing here, but hey a pool is a pool...lol. We are going to get the largest of the set so I am excited. It is hard to get six kids in a car to do anything.
I still have not planned the menu for next week so I have to get started on that this morning! Have a good morning mommies!!
My day is just another busy day with appointments and errands to do. It's never ending around here.
The most important thing I have to do today is write a formal letter to my son's school requesting a multifactored evaluation for him. Then I have to contact a parent advocate to help us through the battle with the school.
Then my daughter has a Dentist appointment today. I am going to talk to the Dentist while I am there because I have a molar (double root canal that went bad) that needs extracted. She put me on a 10 day antibiotic and a strong pain medication and said that I will be fine to go on Vacation. I have an appointment to have it extracted a couple of days after we get back. Well, she was wrong I have still been in extreme pain everyday. I don't know if there is anything that she can do since we are leaving Sunday, but I do know that if she can't do anything I won't be able to enjoy my vacation. I am going to ask her if the infection is gone if they could some how sqeeze me in as an emergency and take it out before we leave. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Do you think it would be better to go on Vacation in extreme pain in which medicine doesn't help or take my chances and try to have it removed before we go in hopes that the pain medication will take care of the extraction pain?? I already can't eat on that side or hardly eat at all since I am in pain so that won't sway my decision.
Anyway, I also have to take my DD to Cheerleading Orientation where they will try on uniforms for size. She is sooooo excited!! She is only five, but I signed her up for a Program called Upwards. It is for kids from any school K-6th grade and it is offered through one of the Local Churches. She will be cheering for 1st and 2nd grade flag football.
We are leaving for our First Family Vacation very, very early Sunday morning so I also need to finish my lists of stuff that we are taking so that I know what we still need to get. I need to have the list ready today of things we need to get because I will be out running errands today including picking up some more pain medication.
I also want to straighten up my Scrapbook room. I want to strip the wallpaper and paint it when we get back.
The laundry also needs done today.
Sorry I rambled on. I love to talk.
I hope everyone has a Great Day!! It's raining here so it's not starting out great.
(((Hugs))) to you and family Beth! Hope Noah is doing well. I am so jelous you get to do cheerleading stuff! I don't think I could talk my boys into doing that! lol
It sounds like you are very busy! Ouch with the tooth. I would try to get it out before you go on vacation! Maybe even try to call another dentist?
Hope you have a great time!
You seem like such a sweetie. Thanks for your posts and especially the note to Noah.
Noah is doing o.k. He had the evaluation Tuesday that I posted about and it totally wore him out. They are the ones that are recommending I request the multifactored evaluation from the school. They said I will have a battle until the day he Graduates trying to get him the help and accomadations that he needs.
Anyway, they are also referring us for a sleep study ASAP! and a feeding clinic and then they also want us to follow-up with Neurology and Genetics. They are also talking about possibly doing a muscle biopsy, but said that will be our decision because it is invasive and leaves a pretty decent sized scar. We have a lot to think about. I am hoping that this vacation will give us (me) the much needed break from all of this. My DH went with me to the evaluation so he is finally realizing how much work I have to do with Noah on a daily basis because they said that he is probably doing as well as he is because of the love, time and energy that I give him. What a compliment. His eye Doctor has also given the same compliment a few times.
The cheerleading with Lauren is fun. It gives me something to watch and enjoy. She also takes jazz and tap and was in pom pon for summer. She was in our last two local parades with her pom pons. She is very outgoing, but I'm not sure where she gets it. I was in sports, but I am definitely not the cheerleader type. I love to talk on the computer or to close friends, but I HATE to get up in front of people and talk. I could just picture your boys in cheerleading..LOL.
I will try to post when I get back from the dentist. I have only posted on here a few times because most of the time I'm on the Hypotonia message board, but it seems like there are a bunch of great moms here to. We are leaving Sunday so I will miss reading all the posts from Sunday to Friday. We are going to Florida and the kids don't know it yet, but we are taking them to Disney World for one day, possibly two. This will also be their first trip ever on an airplane and only my second. I am so scared that the DR gave me some chill pills...LOL. I had to take a chill pill the last time I was on an airplane (our Honeymoon to Disney World - 8 years ago next month) and they worked great. I am soooooo clostaphobic. (sp?)
Anyway, have a Wonderful Day! Hope to hear from you again soon.
