I saw your post... My 2 year old had his abnoids remove in July and his 2nd set of tubes put in.. I thought he will be groggy the whole day, because here its out-patient surgery. He snapped out of it by the time I got him home and gave him motrin the whole surgery took about 30 minutes . But you right it was the longest 30 minutes of my life. hope this gives you some comfort. LOL

I hope, if he needs it, that things go well.
I am sure if he needs it, things will be just fine.
Good luck.

I don't have experience w/this in little ones, but my nephew had his removed when he was 12 and it was outpatient and he was fine after.

I didn't notice if you said why he is having them removed. My daughter was about 2 1/2 when she had hers done. and this was a year after she had surgery for kidney reflux. So needless to say I was heartbroken she would need another surgery. She wasn't sleeping well at night, was horrible during the day, and sounded like her daddy snoring at night. It is the saddest thing when you leave them for the surgery and it does feel like the longest time until you see him again. But she is now going to be 8 yr old, and is doing wonderfully. It is amazing the difference, practically immediate. Best of luck!!!

He has all the classic symptoms of enlarged adenoids.
