What kind of example are they setting for their own children? It is no wonder our world is the way it is. Sheesh! I hear you, some people (and as they say, some people's kids!) LOL!
Hugs,
I think your daughter is adorable and would smile at her all the time!!

Wow, do you live in my town? We have the snootiest people here! I'm like: Get off your sniffy little butt and start being human! I was at the pool just today and backed the van out of my parking space and a woman in a black shiny BMW had parked in the space behind me. I had plenty of room and was nowhere near her car! She had the nerve to tap on my window to let me know she was parked behind me so I wouldn't ram into her precious $50 K car. She didn't smile at me or anything, just said "My car is behind your van! Be careful!" I hadn't even exited my space yet!! That made me want to whack the you-know-what out of her bumper with my big Honda van, let me tell you! DH and I call it "Snootyville" here because it's so uppity and wealthy. . . But at least the schools are good!
I can't stand snobby people. I'm sorry you went through that. Hopefull Emily didn't notice. . . BTW, she sounds like my Jenna: smiliing and happy with everyone.

My son gets no thanks for helping people get things off shelves if they are old and in wheelchairs, or when he opens to door for someone or just saying hi as a kid.
It is sad, and then older people womder why kids have no manners. They need to see it to learn it.
That sucks!
I tell you what... it's so sickening how our society had changed in just the last 50 years. It seems like no one is courteous or respectful anymore.
You're doing a great job with her Tanya... just continue to teach her to be friendly and polite, and she'll be setting the example for others her whole life.
kudos to you mom!
