Yes, Andrea, you need to tell the mom. Belle has done that before, and a part of me thinks it kind of funny lol. It's amazing what they pick up on. I swore the other day when I stubbed my toe and now when Belle drops something, she says "oh s$*t"
You did right by telling the girl that if they say it again its time out.
Such filth out of that adorable little mouth? LOL! ;)
I feel for you. One time recently Justin told me Matthew said "the S word." I questioned Matthew, and he got all upset. Turns out he said "Shut up" and my kids think that's a bad word! LOL! Let's keep it that way. . .
OK, yeah, I'd mention it to the mom. I'd be very nice about it. You can even add that Havyn said it after her DD did it, just so she doesn't think you're criticizing her DD too harshly. The little girl had to have heard it from somewhere, so maybe the mom needs to look into that.
I'm picturing the scene in the movie "A Christmas Story" where Ralphie says the "F" word and his mother calls the other kids mother and you can hear her on the phone screaching! LOL!
I would def. call the mom and discuss it (in a polite way of course).
You did the right thing by telling the mom. It was harder when I was in a situation like that because I had to tell my sister what her kids were saying and doing. I watched them 2 weekend ago for a couple hours while they went shopping for xmas and her 6 year old DD came up to me and said that her 4 year old DD was letting Barbie dolls make porno's. I almost died earing that word come out of a 6 year olds mouth. Then I asked the 4 year old what she was making the Barbie's do and she said she was making them be dirty. I just had to shake my head and think what in the world is the life coming to when little kids use these words and actions and not think anything of it. The craziest part was my 5 yo DS was just ROFL during the whole thing
