A HUGE SUCCESS!! We had an absolute ball! Saturday morning, we all went for manicures (me and the girls, my older sis and her 2 girls, my younger sis, SIL, mom and grammy). It was a blast!! Later in the day, we went to my little sister's house for a party. She has a new house and it came with a really nice above ground pool - deck, etc. It is a beautiful setting, gorgeous yard, etc. Anyway, we had such a good time, swimming, and goofing around. We ate, and then we sang happy birthday to Grammy. It was sooooo cute. All 18 of us (incl. my parents) stood around her, and she just started to cry. Before you knew it, me and my sisters were tearing up, we are just that kind of family!! LOL! Grammy just had a wonderful day!! Yesterday was church and pictures. My mom and dad were both so proud of the whole family - and my mom realized that our family literally took up every space at the communion rail, and we were all up there at once. She of course, started to cry!! LOL! I'm tellin' ya, it doesn't take much for this family. We're kinda like the Walton's I guess, minus the mountain! LOL!

Anyhow, the party was just so wonderful and my grammy really deserves it. I have a really nice picture of her with all the great-grandkids that I am going to print out and frame and give to her when she comes for dinner on Thursday. I think she will like that!!

Hugs,
Wendy

Aww, Wendy--how cool!! That sounds like so much fun! What a cool thing to do for her 80th birthday. And BTW, my family is like yours--we cry at everything, LOL!

Liz, my sister works at a local beauty school. They do "manicure parties" or pedicure, etc. It was $12 each. Such a deal! Not to mention, we were all lined up, side by side and could chat and laugh and have a good time. AND, we got a "goodie" bag, with a couple of Aveda samples inside. So, check out a local beauty school - they are reasonable, and it was lots of fun!!
