My kids just found my Christmas stash

My kids love to play in my closet. (Why I don't know) Russ has yelled at them many times to stay out of our room. Well tonight I wasn't paying attention and all of a sudden, crash. The presents that I had on the shelf were on the floor. Hannah's Easy Bake Oven that I bought at 6 am Friday at Target and a I-Dog. But she didn't see the I-Dog because I was yelling at them. The Easy Bake Oven was supposed to be from Santa. What do I do??? Do I take it back?? Do I just keep it hidden and put it out on Christmas Day?? Do you think that would ruin Santa for her?? She is only 6 and I don't want it to over for her already. Help??? :)

Tami, that stinks! I'm sorry they found the toys. Maybe you should tell her that you wanted to get the EBO for her b/c its such a cool gift, and you wanted to give her something special for being such a great kid this year. Give her the i-dog from Santa. HTH!
Chrissy
Maybe you can tell her you bought the toy for a child that is less fortunate and you're donating it? Thats always works!:)
Hmmm...couldn't Santa have sent it UPS ? Early ? Because...its a hot item and he didn't want to run short ? Hey, Santa's high tech now, you know, he e-mails me the girls Christmas lists so I can eliminate gifts when they act up...heehee...just an idea...

Tami, that is a total bummer!
I love Liz's idea of Santa UPSing it!
Oh Tami that sucks. I'd be super mad. If you don't want to spoil the belief in Santa, I'd probably give her the oven from me and have Santa get her something else.
Ya know, when I was a kid we knew, because our parents told us, that the Christmas presents were in my parents closet. We also knew with out a doubt that if for any reason, any slight reason at all that my mom or dad thought we'd gone in there Christmas would be over for us in that very instant. We'd take every single present to the Toys For Tots, take down every single Christmas decoration, and not get anything. My dad was hard core no joking around. So, needless to say, my sister and I didn't even enter their bedroom from Thanksgiving til Christmas just for fear that the closet door was left open and we accidently saw something.
Lol, now thinking back, I don't think Christmas would really be canceled completely. The toys definently would have gone to T for T and we would have had to be the ones to take them in because our dad did flat out tell us that would be a consequence.
Dan and I have told Caroline where the presents are kept, and both her and Christopher will know that if we have reason to believe they've been looked at that they will all be given away to T for T also and they just might get nothing. Huh, whatdaya know, I'm pretty hard core no joking around either....

"I was thinking of going to Target and buying one and then go back with Hannah and return it so she can see me return it."
hey whatever works Tami! LOL
I'm going to have to start looking for a new hiding place for my kids stuff... they are at the age now where they snoop ;o)
Tami, that sucks!! Do you and your DH ever give your kids presents marked from you two, or are they all from Santa? If I were you, I'd wrap the Easy Bake Oven and put it under the tree from the 2 of you, and use other stuff to be from Santa. That way you don't spoil the Santa thing for her.
BTW, my kids only get enough gifts from Santa that can fit in their big red stockings. All the other gifts are from us and their relatives. It works.
Good luck!
