We had the BEST time!!!!! We got to the Bed & Breakfast about 4pm Tuesday, and the place is just beautiful. They have the most gorgeous Steinway (piano) in the parlor area, and antiques everywhere. The staircase, ceilings, and chandeliers are just beautiful. The owner took us for a tour, and we got to see 2 of the other rooms plus one of the cottages outside. Our room was done in eggplant colors with a HUGE king size bed. We even had cookies personalized with our names on them.
We went to dinner early (about 5pm), at the Italian restaurant I wanted to go to. We weren't too hungry, so we just split some Chicken Fettucini, then went back to our room. We soaked in the heart shaped jacuzzi for a while, and the jets felt so good against my back. After a couple of glasses of wine, I was RELAXED! LOL
Kyle decided he wanted to go see a movie, but after actually getting out and realizing it would be midnight before we got back, we decided to just go to Sonic and get some ice cream. We went back to the room and hopped back in the jacuzzi, drank some more wine, and crashed. I didn't sleep so well, probably because of unfamiliar surroundings, but Kyle slept like a rock.
We got up the next morning, and yep... got back in the jacuzzi again lol. OMG I need to rip my tub out and replace it with one. My back hurts constantly, so this was just what I was needing.
Our breakfast was brought to our room... coffee, orange juice, tea, water, a ham & cheese omelet, a bowl of fruit with strawberries, blackberries, and kiwi, and a really yummy heart shaped sweet roll with a glaze over it. Oh and I got my pink rose I wanted because there was one on my plate (which was nice china btw). After breakfast I needed a nap, and it was so quiet and peaceful. We left about 12:30 and went to pick up the kids.
I felt so much better yesterday... it was just what I was needing :o)

Yay, Desiree!! I'm so glad you guys had such a wonderful time, you SO deserved it! And it sounds really romantic, too! I spent my weekend in a heart-shaped jacuzzi with Michael, and actually thought of you, LOL! I think we're leading parallel lives ;)
The time goes fast when you get away, doesn't it? But it's so rejuvenating! I'm really happy for both of you, and again: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
