My poor baby took a bad fall on Saturday

We were at my mom's for dinner, and before anyone else got there, she was sitting happily at the table, shoving her face with food, as usual!

Next thing we knew, she plopped off the chair onto the floor, landing on her right elbow. She screamed and screamed, then stopped. She moved her right hand and bent the wrist and elbow. She carried on throughout the night just fine (well, slightly crankier than usual).

NOW....this evening everytime you lightly touch it, she screams ouch, and screams bloody murder. I gave her IBprofin (sp?) but really, it's not broken, she moves it, and can put weight on it, ie, climb up on a bed and the stairs, chase the dog on all fours)

Do we take her to the doctor? That seems like a waste of time to me. They aren't going to x-ray it unless they think its broken, and hers clearly is not.

What would you do ? It's just so painful to hear her scream everytime you touch her arm.

If it's still hurting her that bad today where you can't touch it, I would bring her to the dr. just to make sure it's fine. If he thinks there's something wrong, they will send you to get x-rays. I remember my nephew broke his wrist and they didn't know for a week, he carried on as usual, until my sister noticed it was swollen.

Do yourself a favor and take her to the doctor...you'll both feel better...

Ouch! poor Belle! It may be just a deep tissue bruise but you might want to take her to the Dr just in case. I have heard of kids having a broken bone that wasn't caught right away. Hugs to you and Belle!

Poor Belle, I hope she feels better today. I agree with the other mommas, take her to the doctor just to make sure.

Go see a Dr if you think it is what she needs to have happen.
She might have bruised it or sprained it.
I hope she feels better. Let us know how she is if you take her to the Dr.
