I'm not normally one to get an e-mail promotion and run out to the store to buy something, but that's what happened this weekend.

Very cool! I'm glad you found something that worked for your floors. I didn't know that about bamboo floors, I just knew they were better for the environment than the hardwood ones. I'm really going to need to research before we replace our tile. Not that it is going to happen any time soon but really who puts white tile in the entry and kitchen.

LOL! I didn't know it either until I read the care instructions that we got with the flooring. Even though it's sealed, it still can't be cleaned like some sealed hardwood. I guess the reason is repeated exposure to moisture can change the color of the bamboo. I've used my steam mop on it once or twice because I just didn't want to deal with the whole spray/mop/spray/mop routine.

After I used it, DH asked, "Was it worth $50?" (Well, $49.99 plus I used a 20% BB&B coupon...technically). Heck yes, it was worth it! He still fails to see what the big deal is, but if he was the one cleaning the floors I'm sure he'd be super excited too. lol

Isn't it funny how a mop can get us all fired up?! My mom got me a Shark Vac then Steam for Christmas and I LOVE it. I hate mopping the tile in my kitchen, so the Shark is awesome. I didn't know that you can't use it on bamboo though. I do remember my aunt saying something about hating to clean her old bamboo floor (she moved). She was actually glad to be back in a house with linoleum cause she could mop it.

Everyone seems to love their steam mop, I may have to look into that... I really really hate mopping and my floor mate just doesn't do that well on tile.

I have a friend who has the original Shark steam mop and she sweeps, vaccums, swiffers, THEN steams. I have the Vac then Steam and its all I use (except now that its not steaming for some reason. Guess I need to find a place to repair it.
