Nanny Needs Advice

Hello all,
I know that this is the "stay at home mom" message board, but I figured you guys would have the best advice to offer. You see, I am a full time nanny for a 15 month old boy. I love him to death and I have been watching him since he was 6 months. The thing is that now that he's a bit older, I'm having trouble coming up with fun daytime activities (for his age) to mix our days up a little. It seems like we always play in the backyard on the swing, take walks, play in his little pool, play with his toys inside the house and in the yard, and I let him watch one show in the mornings (little einsteins). I want to try new fun activities, but I'm not sure what to try at his age. Aside from taking walks, I can't really leave the neighborhood with him (to go to a park or zoo or places like that), so I am really at a loss for ideas. What do you guys do with your little ones? (oh, I am also expecting my first baby, but I'm only 7 weeks along)
Thanks in advance
Kristin

Hi Kristin!
we actually had this discussion recently... check out this thread: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-ppsahm&msg=147086.1&x=y
Traci has some excellent ideas for entertaining/teaching preschoolers.
Some other things you might try are homemade playdough, and fingerpainting with pudding. Also when he gets a little older, this is a fabulous website for preschool activities: http://www.first-school.ws/
