Napping with your kids

I always use to nap with my DD and DH always made fun of me for it. Not to make me feel bad but it did. He always sleeps in and doesnt have to wake up with her. Well the last weeks or so I havent been napping with her and I feel like I have no energy to do anything else. Does anyone else have this problem? Any advice on how to get some energy?

I take naps sometimes too. I never sleep well at night, so its a great way to "catch up". I don't have any advice on how to get more energy, sorry.

one word... coffee! LOL j/k
do you take a multi-vitamin? I started taking one every night, and I've felt a lot better ever since.
as for your dh, who cares? If you're up throughout the night with your dd, then you probably need that nap every day. Sometimes as moms it's the only way to survive.
Make sure you are eating healthy and avoiding junk food and sugar too
I think it's perfectly healthy to take naps with your little one. In fact, I try to do it as often as I can. I need a little peace and quiet each day to just relax and reflect. It makes me a better mom IMO. My DH gets to sleep in as well and I'm always waking up with her, sometimes very early.
It's a chance to slow down. It's a physical job so it gets a little tiring some times. If I don't take a nap, I try to put my feet up or catch up on the computer. I think you should nap if you want to and need it. In the US we are always encouraged to go, go, go! In Europe it's encouraged to take naps and relax throughout the day if you can, you live longer.
