I am not sure you can do much different then what you did. Give it time, it's new ans she just has to get use to it. May I suggest something? Don't sit in the room while she falls asleep. You might be starting something there that you might not want to continue. Unless, you did that when she was in her crib and it's soemthing you have always done then ignore my suggestion. :)
When I transitioned mine I started with naps. Left the crib up and in their rooms and they slept in those unless they wanted to sleep in the toddler bed. If they didn't stay in bed then they went into the crib as well. You know, if it became a problem keeping them in bed at night. Now, my son went straight inot his toddler bed and never looked back. But my girls had more of a problem with the transition.
We just moved Ryland into a toddler bed because he decided to paint his crib tent with poop one day during his nap and I did not feel like cleaning it so I threw it away.
I think I would have liked to keep her in her crib longer, but I'm due with #2 in May and I wanted to transition her before the new baby came to avoid being up with 2 kids at night.
I have no ideas because I am hoping Walker is in his crib until he is 5.

I switched my daughter to a toddler bed when she started climbing out of her crib.
