Need a virtual break? Have you ever browsed National Geographic's Photo of the Day archive? The pictures are amazing and you can download them as wallpaper for your computer. You right click and select set wallpaper or background. I find it interesting to see which images speak to you.

All of the photos are remarkable, of course. But these were some of the ones that spoke to me and that I'd choose for the "view" on my computer:

DH and I climbed this dome and walked around that ring at the top. A very claustrophobic climb ... I had to hold onto dh's back and look at my feet on the way back down because it was very steep. This was the trip right before we found out were were expecting for the first time and we stayed a few blocks from here, near the vatican museum in a quiet neigborhood apartment.

DH studied here for a semester (Oxford) ... this is a library called the Radcliff camera where he studied for hours.

I love the jersey shore. This photo was taken before I was born. My parents vacationed here as children

The textures in this photo just amaze me ... it's like hot fudge for the eyes.

Dh and I whitewater rafted here for years. Great times. Loved it. Loved the experience. I am told people bungee from this bridge.

This photo (Italy) reminds me of the quote about entertaining angels unaware ... because the people are so otherworldly ... who knows who is under there?
