Trust me I understand... I have an almost 6 year old, a 2 1/2 year old & a 4 month old. It seems impossible to keep the house clean and stay on top of things. I've really had to press DH to at least pick up after himself (ha ha) so I don't have another person to clean up after. I try to get my things done while the kids are playing, watching Dora the Explorer lol, or asleep ;o)
You just have to start getting rid of stuff first off. If you don't use it or love it, donate it so someone else can. It really helps if you don't have as much to clean up.
also, check out flylady.net if you haven't already
I agree with Desiree. Get rid of knick nacks you dont love/need or use. Get rid of areas where junk tends to pile up (table in hallway) move the table into a closet for a few weeks so no one can dump thier stuff there. I clean when dd is watching tv or sleeping mostly. Some days she plays on her own and lets me clean or do laundry, but not always!
When we moved here last year, I threw out a ton of decorative stuff that really wasnt necessary, all it did was collect dust. That alone helped out alot!
Karly,
