Ok.... here is the deal.
My son recenlty came across a personal item of my husband and I's. He likes to watch tapes in our room since it is the only VCR we have, and somehow found a tape of ours.
We hide all our personal things, but some how he found them and now I have no clue what to do.
He saw something I do not think he is ready for. But now he is interested in it and wants to know things and so forth, curious about naked people...
UGH, I feel like this is all my fault. I should have been more careful about things like this, but since it was our room and hidden as best as I thought we could, I did not think much about it.
Please help me on what to do about this. I am hoping he will just forget about seeing it and go on. But what happens if he does not?
Thanks so much for your advice on this and please do not bash me for this post...........

This has been a very interesting thread and I sure have not laughed this hard in ages.
Glad that my horrible experience has made a good day for everyone

>>>I'd give 'em the bare, bare facts ... 'when two people love eachother ...'

how exactly were you going to finish that sentence? "when two people love each other very much....they watch PORN together??!?!"

i'm sorry, i really really am, but that is just tooo funny!!>>

Lol! You know, I realized that after I posted and I thought that maybe I should edit to say 'no pun intended' ... lol! But it was sooo late. (I am sooooooooooo dead when this vacation ends and the routine snaps back to normal. I have temporarily reverted to my natural nightowl ways -- even though it is CST -- those little ones are going to *kick my butt* when we get home! KWIM?) Of course I meant 'Don't belabor the issue' ... but when I thought of rephrasing what I'd said, I only thought of things that were even *more* suggestive ... bare facts, fireman analogy as in: get in (tell the story) get out ... I could feel Mel's embarrassment too keenly and I am too new here ... I just couldn't go there. I just let it fly as it was. I ramble on in these posts too much as it is without primping! LOL!

I am not surprised that you called me on it ... I'm glad you did. ;) At least I know I'm not the only one who thinks like that!

After posting, I also found myself considering the lack of a lock on our bedroom door (since we moved last year) and the fact tha I have been taking for granted that dd and ds *generally* steer clear of our nightstand drawers. This post may have had positive effect in more ways than one ....

oh no, i wasn't making fun of you, i just found it hysterical that the usual platitudes made the explanation worse not better!! that was the exact line i used with dd in attempting to explain what daddy and i were doing, but i just couldn't figure out how proudmom could use it without getting herself even more stuck that she already was! and yes, my mind is permanantly in the gutter =)

yeah, after all that we switched the knob on her door so the lock is on the outside, and now we just lock her in for a few minutes when it's time for some barry white :P

When Mel said:

<>

I assumed he was more interested in the basics and in what the people on the video were doing to one another ... and that she could skip over porn part. :)
