Well sorta. I used to come here often but once I went back to school a lot of things went by the wayside and so many of my friends here on iV moved over to facebook. And it was an ad on facebook that made me think to come check it out here again while I am on medical leave from school. I am in an intense program to earn my bachelors and two teaching credentials.

Anyhow, I am Megan and my dh is Craig and we have one DS CJ who just turned 10. We have TTC for #2 for a number of years and had one miscarriage and two false positives. I finally decided to move on in life and focus on the child I have esp. Since he has a medical disorderthat right now requires my attention. I would like to adopt but my hubby doesn't.

hi i am Melinda and have two kids...one son one daughter, glad you found your way back. I have stayed at home mostly since my son was born almost seven years ago. Your school really does sounds intense.

For us my dh would like to try again for another baby, i was a definate no at first, now i find myself thinking about it, i would rather adopt because i have lots of medical issues when i am pregnant, and some lingered after i had my daughter 17 months ago, so i am not really interested in carrying another if i could so we are at a standstill in that dept ourselves. I lost a son 9 years ago, we tried for almost two for my ds, and it was 4 1/2 years after that i found out that i was surprisingly pregnant with her. I too had decided to move on in life and just focus on my husband and my son and i couldn't believe it. So i don't know what happens now. We homeschool our son, and we might be moving in a couple of months. Thats it in a nutshell. Nice to "meet" you.
Melinda (loving Jimmy for fourteen years, a mom to one angel Austin (02/05/03) and Jake (6) as well as Alora (1).....now if i could just figure out how to add a picture)

Welcome!! I'm Kim and have 4 boys, Alex (almost 10), Nathan (almost 8), Luke (4) and JT (2 1/2). Have been noticing changes in CJ's mood or anything? Alex has his weeks where he's so moody and then other times he's not. I really don't feel ready for the pre-teen/teen years! Your schooling sounds tough. How much longer until you finish?

I'm sorry DH isn't onboard with adopting, I've had thoughts about possibly adopting a girl but I know DH would never be onboard with that. I love my boys but I do feel like I'm missing out by not having a daughter.

Welcome back, Megan! How is CJ doing? How are you doing? Are you on medical leave for yourself or is it to take care of CJ?

CJ is doing great. I am so proud of him. He is on principal's honor roll at the parochial school he attends, doing well in scouts, and has improved so much since we started occupational therapy last june. This june we start a social skills group that is six months long. It will be so good for him.

I am on medical leave because I pulled tendons in my right ankle. I am finally mostly recovered. I was supposed to do PT but I was really annoyed with the orthopedist's office. And it was weird it just stopped hurting about 10 days.

Oh and it will probably take another three years to finish school and get my degrees. It is a long road but I am up for it.

CJ has always been "moody" because of the sensory processing disorder. He is actually less so now that we have been receiving treatment.
We have been noticing other changes though - increased body odor, the skin above his upper lip is noticeably darker although no hair yet, and big growth spurts.

I'm still looking for a photo that I can upload that isn't larger than the max size.
