Hi,
I am thinking of quitting my F/T job and staying at home. My husband and I got married last year - we each have one child from previous marriages (our girl is 11 and our boy is 9). Now, we are going to try to have one of our own. Basically, I'm completely burned out on working F/T. I work for the Federal Government and feel trapped in a job I can't stand. I have been with gov't 19 years and would have 20 in by the time I would quit if I have a baby next year. Hubby and I discussed this quite a bit last night and know there are many sacrifices to be made if I stay home. One option we are considering is me possibly working P/T for my mother and father-in-law who own their business and work from their home. They are wonderful people and we get along great so no problems there.
Anyway, while we are considering this, some questions I have are: 1. What are some suggestions how to "cut corners" and live on a tighter budget?
2. What are some P/T positions that would allow me to work from home?
