Hi gals!

Thought I'd start a weekly check-in thread so we can keep up with each other and help each other stay accountable to our plans.

It's been a pretty quiet morning, and I'm hoping it will be a pretty quiet afternoon, too.

Well Monday was a bust, Luke was home sick but he was feeling fine (fever all weekend) so he and JT spent the morning fighting over everything.

What is it with overreacting?

Oh no! Ugh, I hope you are feeling better soon! I'll have to keep that in mind about the poo ;) That is great about getting to Costco... I really wish we had a warehouse place near us but the nearest one is 45 min and that defeats the savings with the price of gas right now. Rest up and don't worry about not getting anything done.

OK so I'm not crazy about the green goobers, I was already to do battle with her this morning because right as we were leaving all the thick stuff from overnight started coming out his nose. But they have a sub for the next week. Little one has a nasty cough today and is crabby so we'll see what gets done.

Kim, what's the website for the non processed food and freezer stuff? I love things like that!

I hope Luke feels better soon. FWIW, I wouldn't take my kids to the doctor for a runny nose either. That's kind of weird that the school is now inspecting snot. Ew.

Maybe they should send home a color chart as to what is OK and what colors they need to stay home.

The website is :

I would never do once a month cooking but I like that I can make extra and freeze it. I did the scalloped potatoes and added ham yesterday and I'm going to try the mini breakfast quiche later in the week to use up the last of the ham.

Well I'm a couple of days late but oh well! This week my focus is still on getting this little turd, er, uh, boy to sleep better. He seems to think 4:00 is the time to start his day. Seems like each week he bumps it up a little earlier. But luckily he is back to taking naps. He's the only kid I've ever seen who fights sleep so seriously and I wish I could say this was due to something new, but he's been this way since he was born. Anyhow, he's napping and today he slept til 5 am, so that's progress.
Besides sleep, I'm working on keeping up with running. I ran my first 5k on Saturday and I'm trying to keep up the habit instead of dropping it now that I've met that goal. I've never been athletic, always discouraged with exercise because I've never seen any results. This wasn't about weight loss though, just about proving something to myself, so I'm really proud of myself and want to keep it up. I think training for the run is what has kept my bloood pressure normal for so long now. Plus, I have leg muscles again and I like that. :)

Manda - Wow 5K! Good job! I don't run unless chased, sadly having 4 kids causes certain issues when running. That is really great that he is napping and made it to 5am. Hang in there!

Rhea - I can't believe you get all that done with 3 little ones and just getting over a stomach bug. Glad it worked out with the playdate and I agree that the lunch group doesn't seem to be working, lice, ick!

I've been keeping busy today. Got all the sheets/towles changed and washed, put DH's laundry away from yesterday, kitchen cleaned up... I still need to get the bathrooms done during naptime. I'm so tired of laundry but I'll be back at it tomorrow. I got the sheets from Nathan's room and he has a weeks worth of laundry on the floor including his soccer jersey that he needs Sat.
