What are your favorite nicknames for your hubby, kids, pets, etc.
Mine are
Hubby- hon...how original
Abbie- Abbie Babbie, Abs, Abbers, Abercrombie, and Nana (Lilli is the only one alowed to call her Nana per Abbie)
Lilli- Puggy, Pug Lug, Pugs, Lillibug, Loudo, Louis
Bree- Bree-nut, Breeto (Burito), Bees
Joe (our dog/construction site mascot)- Fluffy buns...he has really long hair on his hind-quarters and tail...one of our sub-contractors came up with it and it just stuck for some wierd reason.
After I was looking at my kids nicknames I realized that their names are nicknames...Abbie is really Abigail Victoria, Lilli is Lilana Faith, and Bree is Gabrielle Camille. It always throws me off when someone calls them by their real names. Especially at the doctors office. I'll just be sitting there while they call Gabrielle, thinking "Oh, that's a pretty name"...OOPPS! LOL
Tara

We call Roslyn "chicken butt". (she's been called that for years... she used to say it all the time... guess what? chicken butt!)
I call craig hubby and he has been calling me "little sweetie" forever.
Taylor- Taylor Waylor, Buggie ( Paige could not say Taylor when she was tiny so started calling her Buggie), Diddle bug, Princess, Stimey, Buggie Diddle
Paige - Paigie Waigie, Paigie, she wants Craig to call her Pa pa and works on it all the time with him, Baby.
Craig is mostly bub or little man and sometimes CW
My dog is just fus fus
I call my dh Jack.
LOL Tara, that's so funny that you think Gabrielle is such a pretty name when your daughter is called by it. How come you went with Bree for a nick name instead of Gabby? Lol, I just got why, didn't want Gabby and Abby!? I never would have thought to have it be Bree but it's so cute.
Here's mine.
Dan I call Babe or Baby, but it comes out with a southern drawl on it like Bay-be. Very rarely will I call him Dan. I used to call him Danny, because that's what he went by when we were kids in school, but once he got out as a man he didn't want to be Danny anymore and just wanted to go by Dan. But he wasn't "Dan" to me then, KWIM? So I started with Bay-be, we were living in South Carolina at the time so that's probably where it got the southern drawl to it.
Caroline I call Sweetie-poo, Gorgeous, Sweetie girl, and SillyLilly. Mostly the first two, if I'm not calling her by her name. A tiny ittsy bitsy reason for naming her Caroline was because both Dan and I liked the name Carrie, but not as a name on it's own, so we started to look at what Carrie could be short nicknamed for and the baby book said it was short for Caroline. But I fell in love with Caroline, and never call her Carrie. Dans mother does, and Carolines auntie Pilar and cousin Hailey call her Carrie but that's it.
Chirstopher I call Punkie most often. Or Punkie-poo, Punkers, Punker-poo, Punk, and SillyPants. He was born in October, my lil punkin, but he is also such a punk it fits. Lol, only 18 months old and he turns his head and answers to Punkie. Dan calls him Chris, which I can't stand but he's his father so I suppose he can call him what he wants. Caroline is so funny when she hears Dan call him Chris she says "TOPHER dad, ChrisTOPHER" and corrects him. Dan and Caroline also quite often call him Bubba.
We don't have our dog yet so I'm not sure what we'll call him/her.

Alyssa: Lys, Lyssie, Lyssa, Issi, Lyssa Loola Belle
Layla: Layla Loo, Sweet Pea, Princess
Judd: Juddy Wuddy, Bubba Bear, Judd the Stud, Punkin Head
Steve: Baby, Daddy, Hon, and Steven when I'm mad (gotta add that "N")
Our Dog is a blue-heeler named "Baby" so I just call her Baby Girl
I'm sure there are a thousand other nicknames, though most of the time I just call the kids by one of the others name, lol
Our nicknames all go together, in an odd coincidence....
DH (James) I call him Jimmy Bean (like Jelly Bean)
Me (Kelly)
Cute topic Tara :)
DH- "bubba" "honey" and "DEAR" (when I'm cross at him, lol) and sometimes "skipper" when I'm feeling frisky, heh
DD- Ellie Bellie, Pudding Pop, Pumpkin Pie, Munchkin aka Munch, Monkey
well I guess our nn are not so easy to read for you ladies but I'll give it a go anyways
DH I call astin min(my love) and sometimes Gummlings when I feel cuddly
DS I usually just call Ragnar but sometimes sneid (it means a slice or piece like a piece of pie or something)
DD I call Kapitola (her name) cutypie, stepla (stelpa means girl so it's like gilr or something) littlasaet (littlesweet) and many many other nn but Kapi or Kap for short

Dh - Honey bunny, sweety, dear (I say this one when I want soemthing) LOL
Natalie - Nat, Natty, Natty Gan, Natty Girl, Nat Nat
Katie - Kate, Katie Girl, Katie Matey
Matthew - Buga, Matt, Matty (teasing him), Munchkin, Mat-chew
Mika (the cat) - Mikers, Pretty girl, Kitty kitty kitty
All my kids are called Bergers as a nickname cause of our last name and I do call them all buga but that was just my sons for along time as is Munchkin. He's been munchkin since I was preggers with him. Course all the time my girls are called "the girls" or "girls" and one I hardly say but do when talking so someone who doesn't know this "the twins". I hate that one really.
All my kis except Katie use thier given names. But, Katie is Katelyn and I do call her that a lot as well.
Whew! Actually having to think of these is difficult. Usually it's just a reflex.
Dh is legally named Geoff(rey), but we both hate that name. We're thinking changing our names legally (both of us, first and last, and last names for the kiddos), so we've been trying out different names with each other for several years now. He's sometimes Alex, or Jack, but usually I just call him Babe. Or Stud. hehe ;)
My name's Kristin (which I'm not crazy about), so he calls me Aislinn, Kat, Kitty or Babe. Sometimes Sweetie, and very, very occasionally Babes. (That was his ex's nickname, so it sometimes slips out, but it's okay if it does. We're way past the jealous point in our relationship, though it was a loooong phase while we were in it.)
Aryc (3) is Aryc, or bubba, or baby or babydoll. Or Aryc Seth Dermott when I get really mad.
Nate (19 mon) is Nate or Naters, or even Nater-Taters. I use bubba, or baby and babydoll interchangeably with the kiddos. I also call them babe or sweetie occasionally. To get his attention, sometimes it's first and middle: Nathaniel Garrett!
Aryc calls me "my mom" and today he laid his hand on my shoulder and said, "Hi, my mom. My dear." lol! :) I said, "No, my name is Mommy." He argued with me a little, but it's fine either way. Aryc likes to call him self "Peter Parker, Spiderman", and will only answer to that name. Thankfully, that's rare. When he goes through that, he'll say, "Okay, I'm Aryc again." when he's done playing. Too cute!!
