I was in the store today. I was waiting at the deli counter for my meat to be sliced. Minding my own business. When I hear whimpering. Naturally being a mom I looked over in the dirction of the whimper and just as I did this woman tells her two yr old to "Shut Up and be quiet ya little brat" ! Then she looked at me and said. "What the He!! are you lookin at?"
I mumered under my breath "not much" and walked away. She did'nt persue me but my gaush the little girl looked hungrey, hot and uncomfortable. I was so discussed and just wondered why anyone would talk to their child like that. I read everyday in the paper how people are tired of being taken advantage of, tired of the sterotyping, and here it is right in front of me. The very behavior that makes some people uncaring rotten jerks in our communitys.
Here I am trying to raise good children with good values and a sence of a good christian person. My 4 yr old heard her and I just couldn't help but tell her I loved her. I just don't understand in this day and age why some people don't undrestand that if you put garbage in you will only get garbage out. Your children learn from how we talk and act and they are watching when we think they are not and listening when we think they are not.
I dind't know weather to feel sorry for the woman and pray for her or wish the Almighty would strike her with a lightening bolt. (It is raining outside after all)

It is sad to see someone so angry at a child.
Maybe she was just have a real bad day, but I really don't think that is much of an excuse.
If you thought she was that bad, did you think to say something to the store about her and they way she was treating her daughter?
I hope for the childs sake, she is not like that all the time.
