Okay . . . change in plans

I had plans to leave the house today and get some things done but it looks like it will be prolonged until later this afternoon or even tomorrow. They scheduled hardpack snow removal for the apartments today and the tractor that is tearing up the blocks of snow from our cul-de-sac is still going and it has been almost two hours! I decided I would leave before they got to our area and hopefully they would be done before I returned so I could park in our driveway. I didn't make it out in time and I don't feel like dragging Noah through piles of block ice/snow across the street to where we had to park our cars. So now I wait.

DH was getting a kick out of watching people's cars get towed this morning. They put notices up on each door to let everyone know when their cars would need to be moved for snow removal or else they would get towed. The tow-truck driver even gave each person who hadn't moved their cars a courtesey knock to ask them to move their cars but a lot of them either weren't home or didn't answer the door. Oops for them. We moved ours first thing this morning when DH got home around eight. Then DH drank a cup of coffee and enjoyed the show. It wouldn't have been funny for those whose cars were towed, but it was kind of comical for us. Come on, how many warnings do these people need?
