Overwhelmed mommy

I'm trying to take some deep breaths to calm down. My toddler is sooo busy! I can't let her out of my sight for one minute. It is so draining. Lately she hasn't been eating well. I finally figured out it's because she wants to do things by herself. So, I let her. Well...arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....she throws the yogurt all over the floor and is playing in it in the high chair. I know it's developmental, but I just wanted to scream!!

My son's birthday is comeing up and I'm trying to plan that. I've got him in Tae Kwon Do with me and we go there three nights a week. I want to do this because his choices of neighborhood kids is not really that great. They're all older and compete with him too much for his comfort. Not necessarily more than other kids, but mine doesn't like it. This way he can compete in a zone that is comfortable and suceed.

I have SOOO much laundry to do I can just cry.

I am so overwhelmed right now, I just don't knwo where to start. *sigh*

OK....let's see if I can get it together now that I vented......wish me luck and send a few prayers. They always help. =)

Sounds like you've really got your hands full right now. Laundry stinks, just take it one load at a time, ha ha. As far as the toddler throwing food, try only feeding her when she's REALLY hungry. I know it sounds mean, but I noticed with my twin daughers (just turned 4) that they put more in their mouth when I waited until 6:30 pm to feed them dinner (1:00 lunch), etc and fewer snacks. Just a thought :)

good luck!! prayers and positive thoughts your way.

First, get some baby gates. Corral that child into one room that is babyproofed. Then let her go at it.

Second, letting a child feed themselves at an early age is, in my opinion, a great thing. However, letting a child feed themselves yogurt it not. Give her small finger foods to eat, a sippy cup, and a spoon. Then again, let her go. If she starts to throw food on purpose, then give her a warning then take her out if she continues. After a few times of loosing food, she will get it.

Food will spill on accident of course, so don't give her anything that is too messy. If she wants the yogurt, tell her that you need to feed it to her. If she continues to grab, take the yogurt away.

Thanks, everyone! The day got better as it went on but boy! What a doozy in the morning!

Trinity is just the one who is going to keep me on my toes. I have gates; she climbs them. I try to feed her; she refuses. I allow her to feed herself; she eats AND plays with it. It's nothing I can't handle, really, but ti's so draining. *sigh* The girl climbs everything like a monkey and is smart as a whip! I'm in for it when she is older. I'm just hoping I can help her channel her
