Painted my nails for the first time

in a long time. I always worked food service, which doesn't allow nail polish. I could have put some on fri night just to take it off Mon morning, hardly worth the effort. I've been home just over two years and painted my nails twice before. Seemed like I had to do something before they dried so they looked terrible, or the kids were picking the polish off my nails. I decided what the hey and did it. I even did a decent job, which is unusual for me. I'm very unfeminine in alot of ways. Dh has seen me in a dress once, on our wedding day. I've wear makeup once or twice a year. My skin is so oily that it absorbs whatever I put on in 10 mins and i break out too much. Anyways, it feels kind of good to pamper myself a little bit!

I'm not a girly girl either but every now and then it is good for us to paint our nails and do our hair. It makes us feel good about ourselves which is hard when you stay at home with the kids all the time. So pamper yourself. I have oily skin too and I have started using this midaicated apricot scrub form St Ives and it really has worked plus I am on Ortho Tri Cyclen which has actually helped with my skin breaking out. Yes the St Ives Apricot Skin scrub is wonderful. It really helps with the oily skin. Try it!! I had my nails done a few weeks ago and it was so nice after all this time of doing nothing for myself. I wear no make up, my wardrobe consists of tshirts-jeans-and tennis shoes. The last time I wore a dress I think was at our wedding 11 years ago. It is fun to pamper ourselves sometimes. I have been thinking about getting my hair colored and highlighted. I am so grey. We deserve it!!
