Hey mommas, If you believe in prayer, please pray for my dh. I dont think I have mentioned this but he is in the academy right now to become a deputy sheriff. He will graduate on June 24 if everything goes well. Today he takes his midway physical and he was a little nervous about passing his mile and a half run in a certain amount of time. Please pray for him that he makes it ok and as well through the training until June 24. This is a great opportunity for us, especially for me to continue to stay at home with ds. I know I will be very nervous everyday he leaves home for work, as well as my daughters (who have already questioned his safety). But this is a great sacrifice and we'll just leave it in the Lords hands. Thank ya'll for listening.
Olivia
P.S. by the way, are there any other sheriffs/cops wives out there?

We did have one person on here whos husband was a cop, but she has not been on in awhile.
I'll keep you all in my prayers--I know he must be stressed. A plain old job interview is bad enough, but that sounds much much worse. . . Remember, though--no matter what happens, if he gets through, or if he has to try again later, there's a reason for it. It might not seem to make sense, and it might make him mad, or sad (or both), but God will see you though, and you'll all end up where you need to be if you just keep trusting in that. :) Hugs--

Too bad no new record
Congrats on passing him passing the run. I am a cops wife. My DH has been on the force for since 1998. It is definetly a stressful job and it can be hard to have a "normal" family life...Having to work holidays, wooking diferent shifts and not having weekends off. It is hard raising to little ones (9 weeks and 2 years old) and handling him working doubles. He hasn't had a day off in 26 days. And sometimes my daughter really misses him when he works a few doubles in a row.... I really didn't have a hard time adjusting to this way of life becuse my father was also a police officer. I am proud of my husband that everyday he puts his life on the line to help others.

Yah for him!! I'm so happy for you both :) I'll keep you in my prayers as he starts his new career.
As far as setting a new record, I'm just amazed at anybody who can do it at all LOL! I've been losing weight, and I still feel like a rolie polie on the treadmill. I'd be setting a new record if I tried--for slowest speed ever lol! (Or worse yet for most required paramedic interventions during the run. . .) He should be proud of himself!

Thanks Jen, I am sure I will be asking for advice now and then from you. Just him being in the academy has been stressful enough. So I hope once he actually starts working I will be use to it. He also is taking some college courses, he was full time but it was difficult to continue while in the academy, so he now only has 2 classes. We only see him on the weekends for now, but once he starts working I am sure we will never see him...boo hoo:( Maybe that's a good thing.....j/k, I know I will be the first one crying and then my children.

P.S. lol...Angela for your comment on the treadmill, keep up the good work
