Poor DH

I feel bad for my DH, he's been having some pain lately in his side, and he thought it was due to him recently joining the gym and the extra working out, but the pain got worse, so he went to the Dr, and he has kidney stones.

awww. :( Sending **get better** vibes. I hope things work out the easiest (and most painless, under the circumstances) that it can.

Poor thing, Kelly! Those are THE WORST!! My DH had a kidney stone once several years ago, and it came on really suddenly. At first we thought it was appendicitis, but it wasn't. I have never understood why they didn't just go in and remove it, but they told him he could pass it, and he did eventually (after like 24 hours of agony). I have never EVER seen anyone in so much pain! It was horrible!! I just sat with him with tears streaming down my face. This was before we had kids, and I think it gave him a lot of empathy for me when I was in childbirth, LOL!

I hope the kidney stone isn't as big as my DH's was, and that it passes without too much pain. I'll say a prayer for him.

Oh my gosh, that sounds so painful. My little brother had that problem last year and I know it was a nightmare for him. They gave him something though for the pain.... can they give him anything to help? I think they gave him something that could break up the stones?

LOL I don't know, but ever since then, Michael has drank like a gallon of water a day. I think he'd rather die than go through that again!!

Oh ouchie!

Kidney stones are comparable to labor, is what I've heard from women friends that have had them! A friend on my PG board actually just had them and she's 7 months pregnant...she eventually passed 6 of the damn things? Ouchie!

Definately get him something for the pain, but the most important thing he can do is start flushing out his system with as much water as he can tolerate! He will need to avoid high-sugar liquids from here on out if he wants to prevent them from happening again too. (DH gets them...still drinks friggin Mello Yello, I won't feel so bad for him when he gets them again!)

Water, water, water!!!
