possible future SAHM - needs advice

Hello there everyone!
I'm a new posted on this board, and came from the Feb 05 birth club board.
I'm not sure if a SAHM situation is best for my family. Any thoughts you may have on surprises, suggestions, etc. are greatly appreciated!
We had our daughter 10 weeks early after a brief mandatory hospital stay due to my water breaking for some unknown reason. I always thought I would go back to work after my 12 weeks is up, no problem. Now that we have our little one, I have serious doubts. How can I pay someone else over 50 percent of my take home pay to watch my fragile little preemie?
So, I ask all of you who have made this decision...
any regrets? any advice, comments, etc are GREATLY appreciated!!
Hugs,
Shawn

My name is Mel. I am 25 years old and a sahm of 4 years to my two boys, Andrew (5) and Dalton (1).
You came to the right place to get advice on staying home or not.
Good luck :)
Welcome to the board! I have been a SAHM now for over 6 years and I have never regretted my decision. I just couldn't imagine someone else raising my children. I've loved being here every day to watch them grow up.
Good luck with your decision!

Hi Shawn,
I am also new to this board and came from the Feb 05 expecting club! My son was 6 weeks early and I too could not imagine someone else caring for my little guy. I have been at home since I was about 8 weeks pregnant. My son is now two and a half weeks old and aside from being exhausted it has been great! I love being here for every little thing. I will admit, it does get a little lonely, but soon he will be old enough to take out. I am looking forward to all the good times ahead :)
Good luck with your decision!
