I only work two days a week right now and am due with my 2nd baby in August after which I will be a full-time SAHM!!! My issue is we are starting to potty-train my DD (just turned 2) and I am sooooo freaked out by it! I feel so clueless and I could really use some help.

We had her pick out some panties last Friday and she wore them for a bit Friday and peed in them. We had already had her feed her baby doll that wets and watched her pee pee in the potty. When the baby doll pee pee'd we made a huge of it. We kept asking her if she needed to pee pee every 5 minutes but she kept saying no. After DD peed in her panties we took her to the potty to tell her that this is where she goes pee...not in her panties. We were very gentle about it and didn't make her feel bad.

Is this all I keep doing or is there something else I should be doing? HELP! I feel so lost!!!

I think the most important thing in potty training is waiting until your child shows signs of readiness, otherwise no matter what you do, its not going to work.

Once they are showing signs of readiness then you are doing the right things! Most important is doing what you did when she had an accident -- not getting upset and gently telling her to go in the potty.

When I was training my girls I put real panties on in the morning and left them on until naptime and bedtime. I would take them into the potty whenever I went and after each meal along with asking them if they needed to go potty about 500 times a day, lol.

I think you guys are on the right track and I wish you the best of luck!!
