Do you have any potty training secrets to share?

It's SO worth the money! I just hope I can say the same when I try it on the second one! I think we will try at 2 & 1/2, that will be this summer! How nice would it be to be totally done with diapers! Woohoo!

I may have to get that, my friend who had potty trained 4 kids under age 2 has great things to say about it too. JT seems ready but I've never had much luck before 2 1/2 and he just turned 2 in Aug.

We used Potty Scotty. The potty train your kids in a day method. It worked! We picked our son up at day care on Friday and he went back on Monday with big kid undies. I was a bit skeptical at first but it worked and I can't wait to try it out on our second son. I think of first was a little over 2.

LOL! I'd heard about using Cheerios, but we never did it. I'm not sure why because it sounds like a great idea.

DS loves those army men, BTW.

When my boys were little I would throw a few cherrios in the toile and told them to aim at the hole and if they went they got a prize out of my prize basket. I got a basket and placed it where they could see it but not get it. I bought little plastic army men at the dollar store. I think you get 20 in a bag. Small bags of M & M's or any small reward they would like. The idea was for them to get a reward for going and for it to be cheep enough for me to fill the basket. I wrapped the things up with tissue paper so they could not tell what they were getting. Hope this helps. Good Luck

I used M&M's for my older daughter for rewards and waited until she was about 2 1/2 before starting the potty training process. When she was about 3 we moved on to putting her in pullups and that prompted her to go on the potty a lot more. By the time she was 3 1/2 she was fully potty trained. She had to wear pullups at night for about another year after that but once we took away the pullups she was fine..no accidents.

I just have them spend a lot of time on the little potty and naked. I tend to wait until 2 1/2 -3 years old and if they are ready it isn't too bad. Being ready is the key, I tried with Luke at 2 1/2 and he was getting no where, waited 3 more months and it just clicked and he had very few accidents. I also do not use pull ups unless we are going. So whenever we are at home it is underwear right from the start. I give M&Ms and do stickers for rewards. If they are starting to do well we set a goal of a week without accidents and they get a special toy.
