Hello,
I am doing a research paper for school about SAHM's and was wondering if anyone would care to answer some questions for me. I am also expecting (due 12/26)and plan on staying home and am curious about most of this stuff anyway (hence why I am doing the paper on it). :-) I really appreciate anybody's input on this!
1. What made you decide to stay home with your child/ren?
2. At what age (of your child) would you or do you plan on going to work, if at all?
3. What do you feel are the benefits to your children to have a parent home with them?
4. What does your typical day look like?
5. Is/was your spouse supportive of your decision?
6. Is there division of labor in the house, or do you do most chores? i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping?
7. To people who claim they cannot financially afford to stay at home, what do you say? How do you make it work financially?
8. Do you feel society or other family members look down on you? How do you deal with that?
9. What is the most rewarding aspect of being a SAHM? Any cute anecdotes or special moments you would have missed if not at home?
10. What advice would you give a first-time SAHM? Any other stories/comments?
Thank you to anyone who answers any of these questions! If you wouldn't mind listing your name and where you're from, that would be great (have to do a works cited page!). Thanks again!
