ABC News 20/20 is doing a story about the unequal division of labor in many homes. Specifically, we're looking for a family (preferably in the greater NYC region or San Francisco/Bay Area) in which the working mom feels she's doing more housework and parenting than her husband. Meanwhile, the husband probably feels his contributions are underappreciated. We’d like to interview and videotape with your family. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I would feel bad for the husband they choose to do this story on......
I am so happy to have a wonderful husband who does help.
Why dont they ever do stories on them? Men who are good fathers and husbands? Always the negative!

I totally agree! I have the best hubby in the world. He helps with laundry and dishes and taking care of the boys. However, cleaning our bathrooms is MY job...despite the fact I have better "aim" than anyone else in the house. Mothers of little boys....you know what I'm saying!

LOL!

ITA...

I used to get mad at dh because I felt like he never helped me around the house, then he brought to my attention that I used to gripe that he wasn't "doing it RIGHT", so he quit doing anything. Thanks to flylady, I realized that "even housework done incorrectly still blesses your family". Since I stopped griping, he helps me all the time now. I came home the other day, and my bathroom was nearly SPOTLESS! I was in shock, and literally cried. Needless to say, I feel VERY blessed!
