Has anyone heard of Rendi? Its one of those parties you go to and buy stuff. You can get personalized picture frames and wall hangings and such with inspirational quotes or you can put in your own text. Its actually pretty neat but I'm so dang cheap I can't make myself buy any of it. I am seriously considering going to Hobby Lobby and buying some canvases, taking their ideas

I haven't heard of that one but have been to the jewelry parties and there is another one going through our area right now. I don't wear jewelry so that wasn't too tough for me to say no, this other one I could probably use the stuff but I'm too cheap to buy it. I don't think there is anything wrong with making your own version if you are crafty enough do it. There are plenty of people who aren't who just want to buy it. As for making money, I think if you have a large network of friends and you put the effort in you can make money. My MIL did Avon for a long time but she wasn't too serious about it, just had some regulars that she would take orders for but it ended up being more time than it was worth, and I think she was buying more stuff than she really needed for herself.

I did jewelry shows for a while. You CAN make money off of it, but it's not as easy as they make it sound. When you do shows/parties, the sales just happen. The problem is booking more shows/parties. I'm not one who likes to pester my friends and family to throw parties like this, so it's no big shocker that I hated that part of it (and it's a huge part if you want to be successful).

I've never heard of Rendi, so I looked it up. They have a lot of cute things, but you can definitely do this yourself. I have a lot of similar projects "pinned" on Pinterest.
