SAH with kids in school full time?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if any of you are or are planning to stay home once your kids are all in school full time. My youngest starts full time kindergarten in september and I had been debating with myself about what to do. I really like being the one that picks them up off the bus and takes them to activities etc. So if I went back to work, it would have to be in some field with very flexible hours. Some family and friends expressed dismay that I wasn't planning to jump back into my full time career.

At this point, we recently found out I'm preggers again, so this decision gets put off. But I was wondering what you all think.

IMHO, they are only little once, whether they are in Kindy or 6th grade! I'm still home with my girls, and my oldest starts 4th grade and my youngest starts 2nd. I luckily found a nice little "job" at their school. I work the playground every day, from 12-1 and get paid. It only brings in about $50 a week, but hey, It pays the cable bill and gives me fun money. I also pay for field trips, lunch money, etc. So, maybe check out something thru their school system. I truly enjoy being here for them. I love volunteering at school, baking cookies, having the house all clean, dinner started, etc. When dh and the girls get home, we are free to do things as a family and we are not rushed around from one place to the next. We (dh and I) both feel that as long as we can swing it, we ought to take advantage of it.

Hope that helps!
