For SAHMs.....

Hi,
I'm just wondering what you all do with your time if you are SAHMs. I don't know what to do with myself. I live 1/2 from any town and have 2 young kids, 4 & 1. I have a PT job but I work from home. I am also taking an online class but other than daily cleaning, cooking, etc . I don't have anything to do...
What do you do? What do you fill your days with? What are you involved with?
Thanks,
Jenn

Well, I have three kids and they are each 20 & 21 months apart respectively. My oldest is 3, my middle child is 2, and my baby is 3 months
Well sometimes I wish my days were not quite so full! lol
I start my day at 5:30 but this is because it gives me a full hour in the morning to do whatever I want before the kids wake up.
We are homeschoolers so Mon, Wed and Thur are full school days for us in the classroom from 8:00am to 2:00pm. On Tuesdays I run a Sports day for our homeschool group in the mornings and it is the kids art day where we do a couple of hours of art lessons. On Fridays we go to a local park for a park day with our homeschool group and we are there for about four to five hours.
After school is when I clean house, or run errands. I do take a break at 4:00 to watch Oprah..lol but during commercials is when I am making dinner. My dh gets home around 5:00 and and we have dinner at 5:30. After dinner Dh and I do something with our kids like playing outside or a board game. Then it is the kids bathtime and they are in bed at 7:45. My Dh and I use the time afterward to watch Tv or finish a hobby we are working on.
My days seem really full to me and I usually don't ever get the "I'm Bored" feeling.
Sorry I am not much help.

Hi there,
You might want to see if there are any moms in your neighborhood with kids the same age. You also might want to check to see if there are any playgroups in the area. Sometimes, the local library has fun drop in times for story telling and such. It might be a good way to meet other moms. You can also sign up for a gymboree class or a class at your local park district. Sometimes, even if the class is a little far, the change of scene might be nice for you and your children.
Good luck. Jolie
