I was talking to my sister yesterday and she said that their are fast food chains dilevering in schools? Is this happening in your kids schools? I admit I am out of the loop with public and private schools so I am just curious. Is it like a corporate sponsor thing? Who determines what fast food place gets to deliver to what school?

Thanks not a bash against schools just curious.

No that is definitely not allowed in our public schools here is San Antonio. As a matter of fact they have taken out all vending machines and the kids are no longer able to take sweets for parties. I guess every state is different.

I know they do it at the high school here, they have papa johns pizza and subway not sure what else, I think it has a lot to do with money which is so ooooooooooo sad!!!!! I know at the elementary school I taught at they only had the lunch program that was catered out to a company and it was really gross!

Our kids go to a catholic elementary school and once a month they serve MacDonalds hamburgers (no fries or other items from them) and Papa Johns pizza (on different days of course). Otherwise no other "fast foods" are served and there are healthy side dishes.

That si sad that they are allowing this to happen in school. The one place they can help kids eat healthy.
I use to eat junk instead of good food because they had a chip and coke stand before you got to the real food. Thats all I ate for 4 years at lunch, just not healthy at all.
